THE STORY

The United Kingdom is where I was born and raised.

I have been creating and making all sorts of things my entire life. I recall many happy hours playing dress-up with necklaces, bracelets and brooches, rings and clip-on earrings from my Mum’s jewellery drawer, dressing up in my Gran’s fabulous hat collection and helping my Dad with anything that ever needed fixing around our house. This more than likely lead to my formal training in fashion and illustration studies at what is now the University of Derby. While attending art school I began to develop some jewellery making skills with the idea that, as no programme existed, I would be able to accessorize my future collections.

Today, Canada is my home base where we live on the shores of a lake north of Toronto. I’m a published jewellery designer, maker and educator emerging on the international stage and sharing a creative passion for my craft. In 2013 I was invited to join the Swarovski® Ambassador global team and then in 2015 this transitioned to the Swarovski® Authorized Instructor programme for Swarovski Create Your Style and as such, I became a member of an elite global collective of professionals that educated and inspired creativity in the DIY world until its conclusion in 2020. So you can probably guess that I continue to incorporate lots of Swarovski Crystal in my work usually along with metal in one form or another.

The inspiration for my creations is frequently drawn from the architecture, shorelines and heather covered mountains of my beloved Scotland, where I head ‘home’ to at every opportunity. I love celtic illumination, calligraphy, castles, photography, quotes, gardens and the natural environs, details, colour, food, people, art, museums, dogs, macarons, the sea…any sea, my family, travelling and tea. I look forward to taking you along with me as I explore and I hope your soul will be inspired with possibilities.
